ASMBL Subtractice Tool BOM and Initial Go

Alright – the ASMBL is out from E3D and the biggest thing most people are talking about is the subtractive cutting head!!!! This is pretty cool news for pros and hobbyists alike as we now can get ever-closer to injection molded tolerances but yet with near-infinite flexibility. I’m pretty excited to play with this on my stable as it means I can use an extremely large nozzle like on a supervolcano but yet get very refined cornering and features. Once the parts arrive, I am SUPER excited to get going.

Well, per the thingiverse - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4206827 most of the items linked to are UK boms, so I did a little searching and tried to find the best options for US sources, preferably from the all-encompassing amazon for fairly quick+”free” shipping. Some items, unfortunately, aren’t available in the US and will need to have the “fun” of china shipping, so I’ve tried to include some alternatives.

If you’ve been able to find a better/cheaper/higher quality source feel free to drop it in the comments. Some of these I’ve purchased in a multipack and I’ll revisit and break out a lower-cost version. These parts are what I’m going to base my first build of this off of.

In the meantime, I just got a big shipment of some CF-reinforced filaments and I’ll be tuning them in and offering Printed kits for the stock ASMBL. Hopefully this should let those who want to give it a shot to not have to deal with high-temp CF filaments.
